On Sunday the 24th June, we got up early and headed to the Goldborough Valley NP for a day of fun with the kids. This place is just beautiful and I will be adding some photos, but what I did want to say tonight was that I have two tips for when travelling with kids.

Tip 1 : When playing in the water, especially that which may be running over rocks, don't let the kids play with toys that blend into their background! We let our youngest play with his army truck and I'm afraid the creek has claimed it as it's own. At this point he swapped to a bright red fire truck and, no problems, couldn't loose it if we tried.

Tip 2 : Army men will float away very...very...quickly, even with just a small current!

Anyway, it was a great day had by all.

Hey, whatever keeps them busy!

As of Friday the 1st of June our house went on the market and we had our first open home on Saturday and Sunday...how exhausting preparing the house and maintaining it, with two little boys! On Monday morning our littlest said, "Do we have to open our house again?" and on asking him why he said that it was too much cleaning...

Now we wait for our business sale to finalise and our home to sell!!

The caravan we are looking at is very similar style to the Jayco Heritage that we had a few years back. It has bunkbeds, separate shower and toilet, cafe dining with a table that folds away (I love this idea as I found the L-shaped dining difficult in the Heritage and we ended up taking the table out) and a queensize bed. It comes with a full annex, which we also had with the Heritage and we used it a lot, however our trip back then was only for three months. Now, looking at travelling indefinately, I'm concerned that it might just be too much extra weight. What we are excited about though, is that the caravan is fully self sufficient with solar panels, battery pack, converter, water tanks and gas, all we need to do is buy a generator. Being from north Queensland, we have a 5.5 Kva generator (way too big for a caravan), so if we sell this and downgrade we'll be right.

Anyway, we'll keep looking and waiting!!
