On Sunday the 24th June, we got up early and headed to the Goldborough Valley NP for a day of fun with the kids. This place is just beautiful and I will be adding some photos, but what I did want to say tonight was that I have two tips for when travelling with kids.

Tip 1 : When playing in the water, especially that which may be running over rocks, don't let the kids play with toys that blend into their background! We let our youngest play with his army truck and I'm afraid the creek has claimed it as it's own. At this point he swapped to a bright red fire truck and, no problems, couldn't loose it if we tried.

Tip 2 : Army men will float away very...very...quickly, even with just a small current!

Anyway, it was a great day had by all.

Hey, whatever keeps them busy!
